The Sneeve

It seems like everyone is getting sick this time of the year and my family is not immune to this.  That is why I was excited when I first heard about the sneeve.

The sneeve is a disposable anti-microbial sleeve that kids can put on their arm to catch germs.  It is perfect for reminding them to cough or sneeze into their arm and it catches the germs and stops them from spreading.
My kids like wearing it, they think it is just kind of fun.  Although it is soft, having something on her arm like that bothered Scarlett a little bit, so we just put it on over a long sleeve shirt and she was happy as a clam.
I love how it catches 99.9% of viruses and bacteria on contact, and then at the end of the day, or the next morning, we just take it off and throw it away.  Easy Peasy.
Right now you can buy a box for $10 from their website or on amazon, but I think these are going to catch on and be available in regular chain stores soon.

Watch What I'm Wearing

I posted this wish list back in January and after receiving the products in the mail I got to wear them last week to church.  I love them!  At first I was hesitant because they didn't cost very much ($5.80 plus shipping for the skirt), but I am pretty happy with the quality.  I got so many compliments on this chiffon maxi skirt, and everyone wanted to know where I got it.  I thought it was perfect for Valentines Day.
I love clutches.  Most of my skirts don't have pockets and I don't have matching purses for every outfit. So when I am going to church this little clutch is perfect to put my phone and keys into.  And for less than $2 I will definitely get my moneys worth.

Watch What I'm Wearing

I had so much fun with the last wish list I wanted to do one more.

I just ordered this half sleeve v-neck dress from NewChic and I can't wait for it to arrive.  I have a similar style dress that is so comfortable and nice looking I really wanted another one.  Plus it is only $14.  I definitely paid more for my other one.

Crossbody bags like this one are really popular now and I've been wanting one for a while now.  My go to purses are a few years old now and I'm ready for a new one.  When I saw the gorilla keychain attached I just couldn't resist.  It is waterproof and comes in some really cute colors all for under 10 bucks.  I like all the outside pockets and will probably designate one as my phone spot.

One of my problems with hoodies is that the strings always get in my face.  I usually tie them up or take them out so when I saw this one with buttons I thought it was a better option than the usual tie.  Plus this hoodie looks to have more of a slim fit than the usual baggie one.  For $13.44 I can't wait to try it on and see what it looks like in person.

Watch What I'm Wearing Giveaway

It is getting colder outside so I really wanted to wear tights with my dress on Sunday.  It is amazing how that thin material can keep in so much heat.  I'm wearing my first pair of shaping tights (from Kushyfoot) and I love them!  Whenever I wear this dress I usually have to worry about line showing in the back.  But on Sunday I just threw the tights on top and didn't have that problem at all.
Dress: f21  Tights: Kushyfoot  Shoes: Ross?  Scarf: Kohls
The nice people over at Kushyfoot sent me a goody bag with six of their products.  And good news because they also want to send one to you!  Follow rafflecopter at the end of the post to enter.
I love their products because I am always snagging my tights and these are just a bit thicker than the cheap ones at Target or Walmart.  The goody bag even came with Flats To Go.  This is my second pair and I feel good about having another pair.  I keep my first ones in the car for emergencies and I'm going to put these in my 72 hr kit.  You never know when you need an extra pair of shoes.
Enter the giveaway to get your own pair of Flats to Go along with five other legwear essentials.

Swingy

My kids all love to play on Bob's tablet.  We try to limit screen time as much as possible but sometimes it is so convenient to just hand them the tablet or sit them in front of the tv when I need them to be quiet for a bit.  I really think my son would sit in front of a tv for days straight just staring if we let him.  That is why I love toys that get them up and moving.  This new toy called the Swingy does both.  It utilizes these two balance boards to play apps.  We got to try it out the other day and it really was fun.
The swingy is so sleek and pretty yet very solid for kids.  I love how they wirelessly connect through bluetooth so you don't have to worry about cords.  The game on the tablet is really a lot of fun.  I can see myself getting addicted very quickly.
The Swingy has been shown to improve balance, strengthen core muscles, and enhance coordination and reflexes.  Tucker just loves that he gets to play a game on the tablet.
Leon even wanted to take his turn.  The game was honestly too hard for him, I think it is geared more toward 4 and up, but that didn't stop him.  He loved to just stand on them and watch the ball bounce around on the tablet.  One cool thing is that they are wider on the bottom so they really don't tip over sideways easily like you might expect.
Below is a video they made showing the Swingy in action.

Right now this is a very new toy, the kickstarter just went live today! Go check it out!

Dress Up Time

Dressing up has always been a big part of Scarlett's play time.  She loves trying on new things, so when Great Pretenders sent us this new cape she was very excited, to put it mildly.  We have a few capes around our house most of them were made by grandparents.  If you are not interested in sewing this cape is only $11! I think we might have spent more on fabric to make ours.

The site also sells all sorts of adorable dress up gowns and accessories.  They are so cute and just in time for Halloween.

Getting to dress up and play pretend is such an important part of being a kid.  I'm often so busy with this or that I wish I would just slow down and play with the kids more.  I read this article that said that pretend play helps children with:
  1. Social and Emotional Skills
  2. Language Skills
  3. Self Control
  4. Problem Solving Skills
  5. Self Esteem
Kids are constantly learning and growing so much by just being at home and playing, it is really amazing.  I am going to try harder to be really take time out to play with my kids.

Scarlett looks really cute in her cape, I need to enjoy it while it lasts.  I'm sure before I know it she will be too old for this sort of thing.

Planner Giveaway!

My roommate and friend from college designed these great planners and I want to share them with you.  Its called The Home Executive and it is amazing!  It is so cute and very high quality, this isn't one of those planners that breaks before the year is over.  With school starting in the fall this is the perfect time to get organized.  I love how this planner starts in August so I can have everything together for our regular school schedule.
When I got mine in the mail it was very cutely packaged.
I love the colors and the cover!
It has so many great things on the inside including a year on one page and month view and week by week views.
My favorite part about this is the dinner ideas spot and the shopping list.  I haven't seen any other planners with a specific meal spot.
And the taps are pretty too.
This planner also has recipes, special Thanksgiving and Christmas pages, and stickers.  It is literally the ultimate mom planner, just as it was designed to be.  Go here to check it out, or buy one for yourself.

Now Jen wants to give a planner away to you!  Follow Rafflecoppter for the givaway.

eShakti Givaway

I have a few eshakti pieces in my closet already so when I found out about the $35 off coupon code I was thrilled.  That's right they are giving away a $35 coupon code to all my readers just use
WATCHOUTFORTHEWOESTMANS when you check out and you will get the discount!  You have to be fast though because it ends on June 21st.  They have several items for only $39 meaning you can get things for $4 dollars.  Plus several clearance itms for under $35.  It is such an amazing deal!  Everyone go check it out.  Seriously everyone should be on the site picking something out now.

eShakti has updated their website and it looks amazing!  They've also added lots of new items including popular bohemian styles and the wide leg palazzo pants that I love.  They have several different jumpsuits and I think I'll get one with my discount.  I don't have any jumpsuits and am dying to try one out.

Probably my favorite thing about eShakti is still that everything is customizable.  In the pictures to the left some of them don't have sleeves, and the shorts are too short for me to wear.  But on most of them you can customize the clothes to have sleeves.  On the shorts you can even choose the length to make them longer.  It is amazing!

Even while making this post I keep clicking over to their site looking at all their clothes.  I could spend hours picking things out.  Ok, I'm done now, I was just excited about the deal and wanted to share!

RBX Active Review

I just got a new pair of yoga pants and wanted to share!  I have a few pairs now but I still don't feel like I have enough.  I work out a few times a week and I probably wear my exercise clothes more often then I wear any one regular pair of pants.  After all, I have way more jeans to rotate through then yoga pants.

These are from the RBX Power Collection and they are pretty nice.  It has been my experience that you don't need to buy expensive exercise clothes to get good ones.  The really cheap ones get holes fast, but there is a nice middle ground of good quality but inexpensive pants and at $30 these fall into that group.

These are not the thickest pants out there but they are not see through like some work out clothes I've tried on.  I love the bright color for when I go jogging on the street.  And they have a small hidden pocket where I like to stash emergency rubber bands.
This last picture is of my forearm stand.  It is definitely a work in progress and I have a long way to go, but I've been practicing it everyday and have gotten better already!
Another thing I like about these is that you don't see everyone at the gym wearing the same ones.  But they are not too crazy that you stand out either.  I would definitely recommend these to anyone needing a pair of good exercise capris.

For a 25% discount through the end of July and free shipping over $50 use the code Active25.

Emjoi Slim Review

The people at Emjoi sent their compact hair removal device to me to test out.  At first I wasn't sure what to expect.  I usually shave my legs with a disposable razor but I've heard some people like to use an electric razor and I though this would be similar to that.  After trying it out I quickly realized it is not like that at all.  The Emjoi Slim uses tweezers to pull the hair from the root giving you longer lasting smooth skin.
I first tried it on the back of my hand and it hurt, not what I was expecting, but I'm sure people could get used to it.  Especially if you already wax, I'd imagine it is the same sort of feeling.  I like the blue color and how small it is.  It could easily fit in my purse and sells for $34.95.

Rain Hat

Three times a week the kids and I walk to pick up Tucker from school.  Parking is a nightmare and we live close enough that it isn't worth getting the kids in their carseats anyway.  I generally like getting some fresh air and enjoy being outside.  The only times I hate walking is when it is raining.  I push Leon in the stroller and holding an umbrella and pushing a stroller at the same time while keeping track of 4 children walking (part of the way on a busy street) is beyond my skill set.  So I put on a hat.

I just got this new rain hat and I love it!  Before I've just worn baseball caps or the hood on my coat, but the baseball hats soak through and with my hood on it is hard to turn my head and see the kids.  This Scala hat is cute and the water just slides right off.

Mine is the charcoal color, and I couldn't be more happy with it.  Go here to buy your own.

New Shoes

When my Kushyfoot package came in the mail I was excited.  I don't know why but I really like socks, maybe it is because my feet are always cold.  I'm not sure, but something about the idea of a new pair of socks or nylons just sounds good to me.

I got the athletic foot cover, lace top to cover, sheer knee highs and one of the coolest things I got were the peep toe sock.  I love wearing the little foot covers under my heels but I can't do that with peep toed shoes.  These socks still let your toes show and are just perfect.
The Flats To Go have got to be my favorite though.  I remember seeing them at the store once and even though I really wanted them I was in a rush and didn't buy them.  They are these cute flats that fit in this little bag you can take anywhere.  Then when you feet get tired from your heels you slip them off and slip these on.   I think I'm going to keep them in the car, and I can see these coming to church with me to.  Sometimes heels can be a pain in nursery.

Can you tell I'm excited?
