I also finished Scarlett's six video.  It really feels great to not be behind on these.  I spend hours going through videos and putting things together.  It is a ton of work but I love looking back at the old videos so I know all my hard work is paying off.

Calista's Baby Year Video

This video compilation of Calista's first year was so fun to make.  I had way too much footage but she is so adorable I really couldn't help it.

Leon's 4 Year Video

I caught up on all the kids yearly videos.  Wahoo!!  Here is Leon's 4-year-old video.  I now have a couple months before I need to do his five-year-old video.

Calista's First Steps

Ok, so this feels really late now but here is a video of Calista's first steps. They took us by surprise and it was funny how many steps she took all at once on her first try.   She really wanted that drum and seemed unaware that she was walking.



This happened when she was about 13 and a half months old.  She then went a few more weeks of mostly scooting around.  While we were gone in the states though she transitioned from mostly scooting around to all walking.  So now at 15 months she is full on walking.  She seems so much older, I cannot even handle it.

She Scoots

Calista has started scooting around the house.  She can also do a very slow army crawl but she started about two weeks ago and she tends to scoot for her mode of transportation.

And now that she is mobile she gets into all kinds of trouble.

New House

I've been so busy moving into our new house I haven't had time to post.  I want to get back to posting again so  here is a video Bob and Tucker took of our new house before we moved in.  Check it out.

Kannonzaki Park

We found our new favorite park here in Japan!

Kannonzaki park is pretty fun.  The kids love the playground the the roller slides are the fastest and best we've experienced so far.

Aside from the playground the park is pretty huge.  There is a lighthouse we went up and lots of trails and places to explore.

We've gone twice now, once with our hiking group and once with Bob.  I'm sure we will go again once the weather warms up a bit.

Calista Stretching

Calista Rolls

Calista can roll over!  She doesn't do it on purpose, but she did it three times in one day and a few times since so maybe in a little while she will do it on purpose.  Check it out.


She has also been really into toys.  She loves to try to grab them.  She even gets so excited to try to hold one that she shakes a little.  It is funny.  She tries to hard to wave them around and use her arms and she gets mad when she drops them.

Penelope 6 Video

Ok, so I know this is sort of random and it isn't anywhere near Penelope's birthday but I finished her last year's video.  The kids are on spring break right now and I have a whole list of things I want to get done.  I have a few extra hours a day this week to work on things because I'm not homeschooling.  It is a little challenging because the kids are all home and wanting to be entertained, but I really want to get things done before the baby is born.  Finishing up the last of these birthday videos is on the list.

Piano Recital

Piano recitals are so cute!  I didn't learn the piano as a child so this was my first one.  Tucker actually performed in one last year but I missed it.  This was was in the chapel room of the church and Tucker thought that was more scary than the first time, but he did great.

2016 Second a Day Video

Have you seen the one second a day videos?  Once I heard about them I tried hard to take a short video every day last year.  Last night we watched the video with the kids.  They loved it.  It was fun to look back at all the things we did, even it if only was one second a day.
