Tiles and Fridays

As many of you know Bob has every other Friday off work.  He usually works them anyway because we can use the overtime and there is work to be done, but once in a while he will actually take the day off.  Today is one of those days and I love it.  I'm going to be honest and say that we do butt heads once in a while.  It is weird when I am used to doing everything a certain way and Bob has different ideas about how the day should go.  Or I will want to be on the computer only to look over and see that Bob is already on it. Other than those little things it is great when Bob is home on a Friday.  When Bob is home I am so much more aware of my actions during the day and I almost feel guilty that I get to stay home and he normally has to go to work all day.  Like when i sleep in till almost 8 and he gets up before 6.  Or when he sees me put the kids in bed for a 2 hour nap and then just lay on the couch he has got to be thinking 'wow, I don't get a two hour break at work'.  Sometimes I almost want the kids to be crazy in front of him so he can think that my job is really hard.  Today was funny because the one morning the kids sleep in till 8:40 he happens to be home and I am sitting her like, 'Seriously they never do that!'  I am grateful that I get to stay home with the kids because I do think it is better than waking up early and going to work every day.

I finished putting up my  new backslash.  It is aluminum.  I originally was going to get recycled aluminum but found out that it is way out of our price range.  Only to later realize that regular aluminum is about 5 times cheaper.

We also put in white outlets.  That was much easier than I thought it would be.  I like how the kitchen is turning out even though it is a long time consuming process.
