Product Review/Heavenly Perfume

In case you haven't noticed I started doing product reviews on my blog.  This is to help promote and let people know about products I love and also in hopes that companies will start sending me free products to review.  Because of the second reason I am reviewing different types of things that I own and like.

Today I am going to review Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Heavenly fragrance.  I want to start out by saying that although I do love their perfume I am completely against several things about Victoria Secret mainly their totally inappropriate advertising.  I much prefer companies like Dove that promote a healthy body image!

The fragrance smells amazing.  I would say it is a flowery type perfume.  I try to stay away from some that seem to have a soapy or cleaning product type smell...  you know what I am talking about.  Out of the perfumes they are currently selling the Heavenly sent is my favorite.

I bought the .2 fl ounce rollerball, mainly because I had a $10 gift card and this cost $10.  It does suit me well because I do not wear perfume that often and do not need a lot.  I also like it because it is easily portable and I can keep it in my purse or even the car if I feel like it.  The rolly ball works well.  It doesn't get stuck and let lets out just the right amount.

As far as durability and longevity I would say that it does pretty well.  When I put it on in the morning you can still smell it at night but only if you smell directly where I put it.  I don't think people can smell it if they just walk past me unless I put it on seconds before.  It gets an average ranking for longevity.

Do you know how to test to see if a perfume goes well with your body chemistry?  I was told that you put it on your wrist and then lick it.  If you get a bitter taste than it is not for you but if you don't than you are good.  I'm not sure how accurate this is but I will say that I tried this a few times and some are bitter and some aren't.  I have even tasted some bitter ones on me while a friend tried the same fragrance  on her and it wasn't bitter.
