2 1/2

Today Penelope is 2 1/2 years old! She looks gorgeous in this picture.  The lighting really brings out her red hair and blue eyes.

A couple facts about her:

She is a great sleeper!  She will stay in bed 12 hours and wait, quietly, for Tucker to tell her it is time to get up.  She also naps for about 3 hours.

She is girly! Pink is her favorite color with purple a close second.  She loves to get dressed and especially to try on everyones shoes.  She like to get her nails painted and to put make up on.

She is 90% potty trained (diapers for bed time and long outings).

She cries a lot, sometimes over the littlest things.

She loves her blanket.  When ever she sees it see laughs because she is so happy.  She will not sleep or even go up/downstairs without it.  She also gets mad if anyone else sits or steps on it.

She doesn't like to take baths.
Right now she loves these boots!  She also wants to put shirts on top of each other.  I had to make her get her hair combed because she hates it when I do her hair.

Penelope is our mess maker and destroyer. She will play quietly by herself quite often which is nice but it also sets her up perfectly for ripping books and coloring all over the walls.
Penelope has completely caught up on her gross motor skills and has been for about a year. She doesn't run around and climb on things as much as Tucker did at this age but I think that is more a personality thing.
Pockets are fun for her.  I can always convince her to wear something she doesn't want to wear when I show her that it has pockets.
Penelope is a great big/little sister and she loves to make Scarlett laugh and to hold Scarlett's hand in the car.  Sometime it causes problems when Scarlet doesn't want to hold hands. She is great with Tucker because most of the time she is willing to follow along with whatever he wants her to do.  We are so happy she is part of our family.  I love Penelope!
