Birthday Party

We asked Tucker what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said to swim in the pool.  We could have surfed, gone to the zoo, done any number of things in San Diego but he choose the pool.

Once the kids woke up we let Tucker open presents and after breakfast do cake and ice cream.  We were all home so I didn't see any point in making him wait.
Scarlett got Tucker parachute army guys so we used our 14th floor condo to send them off the balcony.  I was at the bottom catching.  It ended in tears when one landed on someone else's balcony.
This was my first time not making a birthday cake for the kids.  I didn't have the supplies and I didn't want to spend the time to do it.  I was a little worried that the store wouldn't be able to do what Tucker wanted and I didn't want him to be sad.  So it was kinda funny when I was explaining to the store who venom is and how basically they just need to make a black spiderman head.  I think they did a good job.  And Tucker loved it.  Black frosting gets pretty messy on kids.
Next we headed out to the pool where we spent a couple hours playing.  We even ordered pizza to the pool.  This was one of the few days we didn't go anywhere but it was really nice.
Tucker said he couldn't pick a favorite present on his birthday because he liked them all.  Later my mom gave him a spiderman costume and Tucker then informed me that now he could choose his favorite because the costume was it.
Happy Birthday Tucker!  I am glad you had a good day!
