This is so easy it doesn't even need a tutorial. But I had to post something so here goes. I have seen the t-shirt headband going around on pintrest and various blogs so I thought I would make my own. It took about 5 seconds. I spent the most time convincing Penelope to take off her ponytail and wear it. I really wanted to make it for her since her hair is always in her face. But I ended up wearing it too. It is so easy and convenient I made a couple.
Materials Needed:
Old T-shirt
1) Find an old t-shirt. Mine worked well for both my head and Penelope's head. I think just about anything will work.2) Cut off the bottom hem and then cut a 4" strip. No need to hem it because the knitt material will not fray.
That is it!
Feel free to cut more strips to layer them.
Just wrap it around your head two times!
Wasn't that easy?
It is perfect for old t-shirts you want to trash.
This is a great idea! I would love to feature this on Reduce, Reuse, Upcycle. Feel free to stop by and grab a featured button. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea for a headband. My niece used to tell me the plastic ones were to scratchy. Solved that problem. So cute.
