The funny part was that I made a big deal to him about not loosing it. He actually "lost" one of his other teeth. I told him that if he doesn't put it under his pillow the tooth fairy will not give him money. I was very specific and told him to stick it in a bowl on the kitchen counter so it doesn't get lost. Of course that was the one time he listened to me. And about an hour later I was cleaning up the kitchen and I put the bowl in the dishwasher. I'm not sure if I dumped the tooth down the garbage disposal or what but it was gone. He was pretty devastated so I told him to write the tooth fairy a note. I'm not sure why he was taking the whole thing so seriously because he knows that Bob and I are the tooth fairy.
Tooth Faire, My Mom accidentally put the tooth in the sink.
Penelope was determined to stay up and wait for us to come in her room. Man that girl can stay up for a long time. Bob and I wanted to go to bed at like 10:30 and she was still wide awake. I finally convinced her that she needed to go potty and then we snuck in and exchanged the note for money. Tucker was out like a rock. The next morning they were talking about how sneaking we were because they didn't even hear us. Haha. I successfully outsmarted a 3-year-old and a 6-year-old.
Oh how sweet, I remember when my son started losing his teeth. I'm pretty sure he knew we were the ones that gave him the money but he kept playing along.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! My almost 7 year old hasn't lost any of her baby teeth and she's kind of bummed because most of her friends have already.
ReplyDeleteOne time washing one of my baby teeth it fell down the drain and my mom told me to write a little letter instead, with a drawing of my missing tooth. Hehe! Parents do get creative! :)
