We went to the local German themed amusement park, Huis Ten Bosch.
It was beautiful! For lunch we had a Miffy pizza.
We rode a gondala.
We did a ropes course and two zip-lines. Bob and Tucker couldn't make it so it was just the girls and Leon.
There were a few VR type rides that you needed to be seven to go on, so I played with the little two while the older did a couple more rides.
The carousel was beautiful, and stunning at night. I wish I paused for a nightime picture.
We went to the chocolate factory.
A flower sent museum.
A water themed light museum.
We did one last ride all together at 8. The park closed at 8 but you have time to walk to your car. I parked in a lot that is on a rode that is gated and the gate closes at 9. So I was mindful of the time and we had some time to walk around and see lights, but no extra time. We were on the other side of the park.
After seeing all the lights and telling the kids that we needed to quickly walk back to the car Scarlett realized she left her purse on the last ride. We ran back together while Penelope and Leon watched Calista and Beatrix. Unfortunately the ride was closed and so we had to find an employee. He couldn't find it and sent us to information. So we are now running at this point trying to find information. When we found it we were so disappointed because it was also closed. We had to run to the gate. I asked the gate person who said she would take me to security, remember there is a language barrier so even the simplest conversation takes a great deal of time. When I explained to her where I parked she said it wasn't possible. We had to just run to the car. Luckily we had just enough time to drive out there again the next day and get the purse. It was a stresfull night. I wish I thought about just getting it the next day in the first place instead of running around like a crazy person trying to find it and get back to the car in time.
We did enjoy Huis Ten Bosch.
