DIY Striped/Plaid Easter Eggs

This tutorial will explain how to decorate striped or plaid easter eggs.  These striped easter eggs are fun and just a step up from the usual dyed eggs.  As you can tell mine are not perfect but with practice I think I could do better.  I got the idea from Martha Stewart, she has tons of egg decorating ideas.

Materials Needed:
Water
Mug
Food Dye
Hard Boiled Eggs
Vinegar
Electrical or Duct tape

1 the first step is to get your hard boiled eggs out and get the water ready.  I took hot water, added the food dye, added one capful of vinegar, and stirred.
2 next use the tape to put a design on the egg.  I did duct tape the first time but electrical tape was much easier to maneuver.
3 place the egg into the mug and wait anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes depending on how dark you want the color to be.
4 take the egg out and wait a few minutes for it to dry.  Then remove the tape and repeat steps 2 and 4 with different colors.
Now you can make your own striped eggs just in time for Easter!
