the Elf on the Shelf

Meet Blitz.  He was just assigned to be our family's elf.  He watches us all day and at night flys back to tell Santa all the good and bad things we did.  Then sometimes he has some extra time before we wake up and he gets into our things.
Even though I am not a big fan of Santa this tradition was just too cute to pass up.  The kids get excited every morning while they try to find where Blitz is hiding and what he did last night.  He is in a new spot every day.  And Bob and I have fun looking up and thinking of ideas of where to put him.  One of the best things about the Elf on a Shelf tradition is that the kids are not allowed to touch him.  If he gets touched then he looses his magic.  Oh, and the kids are encouraged to talk to him, so it is cute to listen to them tell Blitz what they want and the good things they did that day.
Sometimes he is mischievous   Here he drew on our pictures and below you can see he was having a snowball fight with some of the people in our Christmas town.
We have a huge spiderman fan in our house so blitz had to do some web slinging.

I'll keep you posted on Blitz and what he is up to throughout the month.
