Carving Pumpkins

Carving pumpkins this year was extra fun.  We decided to let Scarlett just color on a pumpkin and that helped a lot.  There isn't too much she can do to help with the carving and so she was excited to have her own pumpkin to color.
Tucker really wanted to do a scary pumping and I wanted to try using the drill so we tried to make a scary face with the drill.  He loved pulling the pulp out.  I called them the pumpkin guts and he informed me that it was called pulp.  He carved pumpkins in his class and he learned all sorts of facts one being that they can float.
Leon was as curious as usual.  At one point he managed to get a handful of pulp/seeds in his mouth and Bob had to fish them out.
Penelope insisted on having a cat jack-o-lantern.  So, being the good mom that I am, I found a website with about 50 free cat pumpkin stencils and let her pick one.  I was not surprised by her choice.
Check out the results.

Tomorrow I'll post about what we actually did Thursday night.

  1. Your pumpkins turned out fabulous! We've never tried using a drill before but I really like the look...maybe next year!
