Japanese Movie Theater

I don't go to the theater too often and when I do it is usually on base.  In fact last weekend was my first time going to a movie in a Japanese theater.  Mistakenly I believed since the movie we were going to was made in America it would be in English.  But no, once it started I realized the entire thing was dubbed in Japanese with no subtitles.  Luckily I could figure out most of what was going on.
The Japanese audience was very quiet.  The main difference is that they do not leave until all the credits end, the screen turns off, and the lights turn on.  It felt like we were sitting for twenty minutes after the movie ended and no one even gathered their things until the screen was off and the lights were fully on.  Bob didn't want to wait, but I wanted to have the full Japanese experience.  He also wanted to leave once he found out it was in Japanese.  He was nice enough to stay because I wanted to.  He had already seen the movie in English on base and was just going because I wanted to see a movie out in town.
