Stroller

For seven days I watched another child all day. His name is Ethan and he is about ten months old and right in the crawling/walking phase. Ethan was great, but it definitely was a challenge to manage all three. The main reason why it was so hard was just because Tucker refused to share any of his toys. He just followed Ethan around all week taking everything away from him. It was worth it though because with the money they paid me I was able to buy a new Double Jogging stroller. They can be quite pricey and I wanted a good one because I needed to start training for the half-marathon in August. Bob and I just went on a run with it and I love it! Penelope just slept most of the time and Tucker was content to just sit and enjoy the ride. We actually brought along my portable ipod speakers and Bob plugged his ipod in so Tucker could listen to music also. It worked out really well. I like how Rachel Fry always posts her times on her blog and I hope she doesn't mind if I copy her and do it to. So we ran two miles last night and three this morning. I forgot to time it last night but this morning it took us about 38 minutes. Bob and I took turns pushing the stroller.

Here it is. It is the inStep RunAround LTD Double Jogging Stroller. It is supposed to be the best double jogging stroller for people who don't want to spend a lot of money (that us). I especially like that fact that it fits through a standard doorway. I am not sure if it fits in our car yet (we bought it new off ebay), but it does fold down smaller than any other I've seen. So far it handles great and I haven't had any problems with it veering one way because Tucker is much heavier than Penelope. Which is a common problem.

As you can probably tell this picture was staged. I am not about to run out in front of that car.

Good for you guys! Danny and I started running in December, it's so much easier doing it together. But our sights are a little lower, we are running a 5k in April... we're not quite at the marathon stage!
