Sick Day

Last week Tucker got sick :-(.  He had a fever and a stomach ache with no other symptoms.  He stayed home from school Wednesday and Thursday.  And since he was home I got to stay home too.  Some of you might know that being sick and the idea of getting sick really stresses me out.  So I spent the days freighting around making sure everyone washed their hands, pretty much hourly, and disinfecting everything with those wipes.  So far no one else got sick and Tucker has been fine since midday Thursday.  It was amazing how much my mood was affected by how sick Tucker was feeling.  When he felt fine, I was fine.  And when he wasn't doing well my anxiety would kick in too.

I took a couple pictures fo the kids playing.  Check out how well he is holding his head up!
Do you like Leon's sweater?  It was handmade by and an Aunt and I love it.
This next picture is what you would have seen if you came into our house Wednesday or Thursday.  Tucker sitting on the designated "sick" couch watching a movie.  Bonus points for anyone who can figure out the movie.  I'll give you a hint. It is on netflix and it came out in 2001.

My 17 year old picks up every virus that swirls around school and I can so relate to your moods being tied into how your son is feeling. It's impossible for me a mother not to expereince that. Heck, my moods when my daughter called from college these past four years were very tied into how much stress and anxiety she was feeling...In some ways I went to college with her...
