Tweasure Swap

Our ward has been doing these great treasure swaps.  Basically we all bring our stuff we don't want anymore and take what we do want.  Then the left overs go to the DI.  I love it because it gives me a chance to get rid of a ton of stuff.  Our garage is overflowing with stuff we don't really use.  So every time the swap gets near I use it as an opportunity to clean, simplify, purge (call it what you want).  This time the swap was focused on kid and baby stuff.  I had a lot to get rid of.  I even got rid of a tons of Scarlett's clothes.  Not because she grew out of them.  Just because she has way to much and she was driving me crazy with her multiple daily outfit changes.

I also always try to go and get new clothes for when the kids grow out of what they are wearing.  But my rule is to never bring home more than I give.  This time I only took home a few things.

Basically I got some clothes for the kids and these great blocks.  It seems like everyone has the alphabet blocks.  I had them growing up, you probably did to.  So when Tucker was a toddler I really wanted some.  What I didn't know is that they are kinda pricey (especially when you are in collage or just starting out).  Anyway I told Bob I wanted them and he went out to the garage and cut up a 2 by 2 into square blocks.  It was very nice of him, but not exactly what I wanted.  Needless to say I was very happy when I saw these!
That worried look on her face is because this was her second tower.  She made one all by herself but the second before I snapped the picture it fell down.  She was devastated and so Bob helped her remake it.  I'm trying to get Leon to build with the blocks, but he is happy waiting for me (or anyone) to stack them so he can knock them down and laugh.
Thank you mystery person who donated the blocks!

What a great idea! I wish our ward would do something like that. I sure wish we lived closer...I would have loved Scarlett's donated clothes! :)
