Mushroom

Three days of the week the kids and I walk over to Tucker's school to pick him up.  I like to get there about five minutes early and let the kids run around for a few minutes while we wait.  Some days it is rainy and yucky outside but I still like going because it gets us outside.  It is a good half hour that we are all outside getting fresh air and running around.

The other day I saw this mushroom that I thought looked really cool.  I'm not sure how common mushrooms are in dryer areas, but we get tons of them in the fall.  Right now I probably have at least 50 in my backyard.  They come in all shapes and sizes.  The top ranges from about the size of a penny to sometimes about 10 inches.  The kids love to stomp on them.  This one was a little bit bigger then my hand with my fingers stretched out.  I just loved it because it reminded me of a perfect cartoon mushroom.  The next day I brought my camera and took a few pictures.

Then I attempted to get a picture of the kids...
I gave up after a few more of these.
A couple months ago I saw a black squirrel at his school.  It is solid black and I've never seen one like that before.  I brought my camera the next day but I couldn't find him.  I've seen him a few times since but no camera.  Bob has never seen one and wants a picture.  One day, I'll get a picture of the black squirrel.
