Our homeschool group put on a gallery night and of course we wanted to attend. I'm always looking for chances for my kids to interact with other homeschoolers. At first some of my kids were scared but when I told them about how they could do any type of art they warmed to the idea.
Scarlett displayed three of her best pony drawings.
Leon had drawn three Christmas pictures for the event, but unfortunately he dropped one in the driveway and the frame broke. Instead of showing off his angel without the frame he decided to just show two.
Penelope loves these perler beads (you melt them together into shapes) and wanted to share some of her best ones. I've never seen these before this year, but she spends hours on them and they are pretty great for a little girl who likes to make things.
Tucker decided to play Linus and Lucy on the piano. He worked really hard and watched youtube to learn how to play the official version. He knew a simplified version in the past because his fingers couldn't reach all the notes.
After we walked in they had a short welcome and we were invited to eat and check out the art.
The moms who put this together did an amazing job at making it nice for the kids.
Some of the kids had more to say, but everyone in our family just said, "My name is... and I made..." Getting up in front on stage and saying that into the microphone alone was an accomplishment for them and I'm happy that they did it without any tears or refusals.
Lastly, the kids were all given a certificate.
Bob couldn't come because he flew up to a northern part of Japan to visit the temple with the youth. I'm sure he wished he could have seen it, but the kids did a practice run through with he before he left so he didn't miss out too much.
