Scarlett is now 12-years-old! It sounds like such a big milestone, just one more year and she will be a teenager.
Scarlett is doing well in school academically and socially. I was worried about it but she is really doing great and rarely needs help at home with her homework. She is able to get most of it done at school, which is great. We continue to read aloud together at home and she has progressed so much, it is more something we now do out of enjoyment. I mean my enjoyment, she usually doesn't want to do it because she is busy with something else. She is very social and is always talking about her friends. I've also noticed over the years she has no problem having friends her own age or even ones 3 or 4 years younger than her.
Scarlett is a natural caregiver. She is great with Calista and Beatrix. She loves taking care of animals and plants. She really cares about others wellbeing.
Scarlett also loves art and baking. She asked for a pineapple upside down cake for her birthday, and she really wanted to make it. It was yummy.
The main things we got her for her birthday are a white board and roller blades.
