Getting Gas

I totally got gas in town in Japan by my self for the first time the other day.  I did not want to.  We always get gas on base but I had to or I was going to learn what to do when you run out of gas in Japan.

Pulling up it was intimidating.  I had no idea what anything said or how exactly to pay.  Not only was in in Japanese I was working with liters instead of gallons and yen instead of dollars.  I ended up pushing some buttons, putting some money in and it worked out.  

The amount of money I put in did not even give me half a tank so it must have been expensive, but like I said before,  I don't really know.  

I was pretty proud of myself after the whole ordeal was over.  Learning to do something in a new country can be really cool regardless of the fact that pretty much everyone else knows how to do it and doesn't think twice about it.
