Bob has officially had two weeks off work and it has been amazing! After going almost two years of him working six days a week 10+ hour days including holidays I am really loving having him home every other week.
We are really getting the hang of home church.
Things have changed a bit in that area as well. Our ward now has a weekly zoom Sunday School/Relief Society class. Add in all the time we spend preparing and church doesn't seem shorter at all. I don't mind though. There are a few great youtube channels that we also watch. One guy does a weekly singing time and we also watch weekly come follow me lessons from a seminary teacher.Beatrix loves to get inside the drawers. She has been doing it for months but still hasn't mastered getting out yet. She usually doesn't even cry about it. I will just randomly walk around a corner and see her sitting in a drawer sucking on her fingers and looking bored. It is hilarious and really cute.
Calista felt the need for make up again.
I love these two girls together! I'm so glad we decided to have two more babies when we could have easily stopped after Leon.
Beatrix can also get on a step or mini chair and not down. This is what I'm talking about with the sucking on fingers looking bored.
Public school for Scarlett and Leon will officially be virtual for the rest of the year. I think we are all a little bummed about it but not surprised. We are approaching the end of the year anyway. One benefit of the whole virtual school are speech classes. Just before school turned virtual Scarlett and Leon were tested and it was deemed that they need to get some help with the speech teacher. I'm pretty sure that Penelope has the same "r" issues so when the therapist was emailing me to set up times to meet virtually with the kids I told her about Penelope and she said she is welcome to join in. I love it because if school was in session, Penelope would still be able to get speech help as a homeschooler, but it would mean me driving her there everyday and just hanging out during her lessons.
The kids have had some issues though. I wonder what it is like to be a teacher and get a peak into the homes of the children. I don't like to let the kids be on any sort of meeting in their rooms unsupervised but they do need to talk so it has to be quiet and without distractions. So I tried to just sit off to the side and watch, but the kids kept looking at me and not answering the teacher unless I told them the answers. So I left their room door open and went to start some laundry. A couple minutes later Penelope is calling for me and I come up to hear the teacher telling the kids to keep their hands to themselves and Scarlett and Leon are fighting about being too close to each other. As a parent it is embarrassing.
So far we have managed to keep Calista from running around in the background of any meets without cloths on so that is a win.
Scarlett even had a crazy hair day.
Now that the school building is official closed I wonder what will happen with all the kids things that are at school still? I'm also really glad that we managed to borrow two laptops from the school. We do have a family computer, so we didn't technically need it, but it is so nice to have. Now they can all do their school at one time and I'm not constantly shuffling between the different accounts on our main computer.
