Fuji Q

I gave up on getting Disneyland tickets for now and took the kids to Fuji Q instead

We had so much fun!  They have a whole area for younger kids that Beatrix and Calista loved.

The swings went pretty high in the air and were a couple kids favorite ride.

Because of Covid we didn't really have to wait to get on rides, so we got to do them as many times as we wanted.

Bob and I got a little crazy and went on a few world record roller coaster rides.  This one in the picture was pretty intense. 

"Takabisha With the linear motor its acceleration is remarkable. It can reach 100kph in two seconds, faster than a Formula 1 racecar. This attraction holds the world record of the most curved fall with 121 degrees, which gives a feeling of being thrown into the void. Just before this incredible fall, you stop for a few seconds at the summit, so don't forget to admire Mount Fuji before closing your eyes and screaming your lungs out."

We also went on, Eeganaika, and Dododonpa.

"One of the world's two dimensional quadrennial roller coasters, Eejanaika is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as it has the most gravity reversal, with a total of 14 times. You start in reverse, then the seat turns in all directions. You lose your sense of balance completely. The maximum speed is 126km/h, and you travel 1153m in 2 minutes."

"Dododonpa in 2018, with new innovations added to create more extreme sensations. This attraction has the record of the most violent acceleration of the world, on which you are projected at 180km/h speed in 1.56 seconds, thanks to a powerful air motor. It is the fastest roller coaster in Japan, with 1189m of track covered in 60 seconds."

The kids were too scared to go on the scary roller coasters.  I felt like I needed to do them, although I'm not sure how much I really enjoyed them.  The acceleration ride was pretty cool at the start but we were going so fast that my head kept banging in the chair uncomfortably.  The Eejanaika was probably the coolest of the three.  And when we rode Takabisha I think both Bob and I were waiting for it to be over.  Bob did not want to do it at all, but I really wanted someone to come with me and all the kids were too scared.  It was pretty scary.

I was worried we would get rained on, but it didn't end up being a problem.  The kids and I got completely drenched on a ride.  Everyone else in line bought ponchos but I left my money with Bob who left so that wasn't really an option.  It was the wettest I've ever gotten from a ride.  Luckily it was warm enough outside that we weren't freezing the rest of the day.

I'm glad we went, and kind of surprised that it took us so long to go.  I guess when Disneyland is the closets theme park to where you live the others kind of get overshadowed.
