2011

It seems like the year after i have a baby just goes so incredible fast!  I think it is because I just spend so much time devoted to the baby that I really don't have much energy to focus on anything else.  It takes a few months after the baby is born to even get back to sleeping regularly so nothing gets done during that time, and then nursing (not that I am still nursing) every couple hours takes up a lot of time too.  So last year I spent much of my time devoted to penelope.  Tucker has been great about it too.  He has had to learn a lot in the past year about how to play by himself and I think this year he is going to have to learn how to play with Penelope.  The only other big thing i can think of is that bob and i ran a half marathon, that took up a lot of time and training for us.  Besides that 2010 has been a pretty calm year.  It seems like when you are still in school there is so much going on, classes, finals, graduations, and moving all the time.  We aren't really in that stage anymore so there isn't too much to talk about.  Work has been going well for bob and at home we are just learning and growing together as a family.

Last night we stayed home and watched two movies Despicable Me and the Princess Bride.  i totally slept through the second only to have bob wake me up about 45 seconds before midnight and hand me a glass of sparkling cider.  Tucker had no problem staying up the entire time.  he just kept running around, watching the movies, and eating cookies.  he thought it was the best night ever.  And Penelope, we put  her in bed at 8.  We also had lots of snacks including a yummy fresh loaf of asiago pesto bread. I got a bread maker for Christmas so we tried it out for the first time last night.  The bread was delicious.

As far as new years resolutions go, i have a couple

1. read scriptures more as a family
2. eat more vegetables
3. and try to have a regular at home 'school time' with Tucker

I might try to think of more later, but for now that is it. It was probably all the snacks at my moms house but I feel like my stomach really started sticking out over the past couple of weeks.  I had bob take a picture so everyone can see.  Then I realized that this is the first picture of the new year.  and that today is 1-1-11. I thought that was cool.  So here I am in 2011, 23 years old and 21 weeks pregnant with baby #3.
