the dreaded job

There is one chore in my house that I hate doing more than all the rest.  I can do dishes, mop, vacuum, even clean toilets but I absolutely hate emptying the diaper genie. It just reeks more that you would think possible.  it is the combined stench of 40ish diapers all in one place.  It only smells for the couple of seconds while the bag is actually being taken out of the container but I dread those seconds.  I am horrible at holding my breath so I always end up getting a big whiff of it.  Bob is kind enough to take them out but he is not here all the time and since we now have two children in diapers it needs emptied every couple of days.  I feel bad putting the job all on him so I end up doing about half the time. It is the worst.  One day I will be done with both changing diapers and emptying the diaper genie.
Why does it have marks on it?  Tucker likes to climb on it.  He must have done it with shoes on because they are those black rubber marks shoes make.  I can't get the marks off.

What chore do you hate doing?

Ha...I haven't had to do that chore yet, so I don't know if I will hate it more than the others. Right now I HATE doing the laundry. Well, just folding it. Speaking of which...my dryer is beeping at me, so I should probably go get started. Ugh...

I think I can handle doing just about any chore, as long as I have time to do. Well, as long as I believe I have time to do it and am not being lazy that day. If I don't feel like it I hate doing every chore.

I'm with marry-Anne I hate folding laundry so I rearly do it. I just pull the wrinkled clothes out of the basket n steam them when I want to wear em. I think what I hate about it is I have know idea where I'm going to put them after there folded!

This may sound kind of gross, but when my kids were in diapers after I would change them I would roll the diaper up tight and tiny like a bullet and then I tossed the diaper down the stairs next to the door going out to the garage. Next trip by, either of us would put them in the can. Keep in mind that I would dump and swish out as much poop as I could in the toilet so my diapers were not full of poop when I was tossing them. Just a suggestion. :) :) :)

I hate doing the dishes. I hate loading and unloading. I'll cook, eat and use every dish in the house, but I hate to clean up after myself in the kitchen. :) Yea I got to the point where the diaper made it to a plastic bag and was thrown to the garage door and taken to the trash next trip by. Gayle....You're gross! The whole point of a disposable diaper is to dispose of it...not empty it in the toilet first.

I used to have a diaper Genie. I decided I hated the smell of the Diaper Genie almost as much as the diapers with out it. We gave up on it after child number 2 and put the diapers in plastic bags and out to the trash.
