Yesterday I let the kids take a later and shorter nap so we could go watch The Reptile Man at the library. This is kind of a big deal for me because it is very rare that I will mess with nap time. Nap time is pretty much my favorite time of the day. It was worth it though. We saw a lot of pretty cool reptiles.
This turtle was one of my favorites. his name is SpongeBob ScalePants and his shell is so strong that driving a car over it wont even crack it. The reptile man said that he is slow because nothing can hurt him so he doesn't need to be fast.
This gila monster can go a year between meals!
This one has a blue tongue so his predators thinks he is poisonous but he really isn't.
We saw tons of snakes including a cobra and a rattle snake.
This alligator was my favorite. And Tucker got to pet him after the show.
He told him to sit and then he made the alligator instantly go to sleep.
It was so crazy! I guess if an alligator is calm and you rub in between his eyes he will actually go unconscious. It was pretty neat.
I am really glad we postponed nap time to go see the reptile man. It is too bad Bob has to work I think he would have enjoyed it also. I guess getting to do things like this is one of the perks of being a stay at home mom.

Sounds like a great time, I learned alot too!
I bet my kids would have got a kick out of it. Sometimes naps do need to be messed with or you'd miss out. Hope threst of the day went OK for ya. :)
