Disneyland

Wow, Disney land was one intense and long day! I am so glad we did it.  And I think we are going to need to go one more time when our youngest child is 4 or 5.  Penelope and Scarlett didn't enjoy it nearly as much as Tucker did.  He thought everything was, "awesome!"

Since it cost so much to get in we decided to just do one day and to really make the most of it.  We bought our tickets online and showed up a half hour early.  I am glad we did because we were able to get ahead of the crowd for a couple rides early in the day.  That means we left the hotel at 6:45, went to the lobby for our continental breakfast and walked the three blocks to Disney Land.  Below are pictures of the kids, I asked them to show me their 'excited for DisneyLand' face.

The first ride we went on was the Finding Nemo Submarine ride.  It was one of my favorites!  Penelope even liked it (she didn't like very many rides).  Bob, of course was not impressed with the sub and informed me that it was nothing like the inside of a real sub.

A few more favorites were, Buzz lightyear, Star Tours, Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, the go coaster, and the boat jungle cruise.  Tucker also loved the haunted mansion, Whinny the Pooh, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

I think in many of the rides it was funnier to watch Tucker than it was to watch the ride scenery.  In Pirates he kept ducking under the cannons and gunshots and on the haunted mansion he got pretty freaked out.  Afterward he kept asking me if I was sure that those weren't real ghosts.  Tucker was tall enough to do all the rides except for Indiana Jones, Penelope could only go on the ones that everyone was allowed on, and I think that was fine with her.

Penelope wasn't scared of the blood or loud noises, she just didn't like rides that moved a lot.  So anything that was slow moving was fine with her.  She did a good amount of crying while at DisneyLand.  More on that tomorrow.

Tucker was pretty lucky because he got to go on a lot of the rides two times.  We would go and get a fast pass, than come back at the right time.  Either Bob or I would go on with Tucker with the other got a 'switch rider pass' and waited with the girls.  Once the ride was done the other adult would go straight back on or into the fast pass line with Tucker again.  There was a lot of waiting, but most of the rides were worth it.

I have been on tons of rides before, Puyallup has one of the biggest fairs in the world, but the rides at Disneyland were much more elaborate.  It was neat!
