Furniture Factory Field Trip

Tucker's class got to go on a field trip to a furniture factory.  I decided to once again chaperone   This will probably be my last one.  I think they are doing one more but it won't be until after the baby is born so I will skip out on that one.  My mom was nice enough do drive all the way out here to watch Penelope and Scarlett.  They were excited that Grandma was going to be the babysitter.  The car drive is always crazy on these trips.  Here is a picture of the kids.  I think they are being zombies.
We got to tour the factory and see lots of huge machines.  I think Bob probably knows more about them and would have thought it was more interesting than I did.  It was neat how much one giant machine could do.  I also noticed a cool vending machine that had items the workers might need, things like tape or rope.  They had to put in their id number to get the items out.  What a good way to keep track.
This factory was pretty big.  The tour guid kept telling us how high end their stuff is.  I guess it is all very sturdy and customized.  I love ikea, but the guy kept saying how you can't get stuff like this at ikea.  I guess they even make office supplies for Nike.
The factory was very loud and we all got to wear safety glasses.  The next picture shows this laser machine that cuts metal.  They even cut out a little sign for the class that says "School is Cool."  The tour guide told us a story he heard about one of these machine shooting a laser the wrong direction and it went 4 blocks before it burned through a window and lit a hotels curtains on fire.

Tucker had fun a time but I think this trip was more fun because it was a field trip.  The fun part was getting out of school and playing with his classmates.  I'm not sure how much the kids actually picked up at the factory.  A good amount of them did raise their hand when the tour guide asked who wants to work for the factory when they grow up.

Love these candid pictures of the kids.

If you get a sec, check out my latest post... 'Gingham Peplum'.
I would love to hear what you think of it.

The first picture is a classic! Looks like Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger! :)
