Reeindeer and Nativity Play

One thing I always enjoy is doing the nativity play with the kids.  It always ends up a little stressful trying to get people to participate but I think it turned out well.  Below you can see Penelope was Mary and James Joseph.
Tucker and Scarlett both got to be shepherds   Scarlett did get a little crazy with her cane and had to have it taken away, which of course caused crying.
We were at my parents house for almost two weeks this year so we had plenty of time for Christmas activities.  On Christmas Eve we went and saw Donner and Blitzen.
Did you know reindeer have feeling in their antlers?  That is until about August.  Then in the beginning of December the males loose the antlers and the cycle begins again the next year.  The females don't loose their antlers until the next year.  I think that means all of Santa's reeindeer are actually girls.

We made graham cracker houses and decorated them.
Bob helped Scarlett make one and theirs was funny because Bob just filled the inside with candy he wanted to eat later.
We even celebrated two birthdays while were were in town.  Bob's and Jims.  My sister brought over these delicious cakes that were in an ice cream cone.  They tasted even better than they looked.
Next week I'll post more about our Christmas Vacation.

Looks like a magical time. Bob has a great method...I'd go for the candy storage too.
