Godzilla Park

We finally made it out to the kids favorite place...Godzilla park.  The day we went happened to be a Japanese holiday, we had no idea, and great weather, like 80's so it was a bit crowded.

First thing we did was get a "Memorial photo."
Before you get to the playground you half to walk about a half mile first through a field of flowers and then up the hill.  Did I mention it was hot?

Bob thought this bridge was pretty cool.
It seemed like a lot of the flowers were dying, but I took pictures of a few anyway.  Tons of people were looking at the flowers.  It would be a great spot of family pictures.

Once you crest the hill you are greated by Godzilla.  Rar!
Of course he is a slide.

Just behind Godzilla is a pretty decent sized playground.
We had fun.
These slides really hurt your backside.  So next time we went to the 100 yen store we bought little plastic slides that you are supposed sit on when you go down these roller slides.
This metal slide was seriously fast.  Calista and I went down it and I went way faster than I wanted to.  Lets just leave it at that.

It seems like most Japanese parks come equipped with a zip line.
The view from one of the tower things.

This kids were all read faced and sweaty by the time we left the playground.
Instead of walking back to the car we decided to go the other direction down the hill to see what else the park held.  And it had another, newer playground.
