Busan

Busan was the area Bob served his mission, so we really wanted to spend a couple days there.  We spent our first morning at an aquarium.

There were tons of preschool kids there with their classes.  They were so cute with their matching backpacks and uniforms.  Our kids would have enjoyed it also, but we were having some needed kid free time.  It is much different to see the cute little preschoolers than to actually be responsible for them.

The aquarium was right by the famous Haeundae beach.  We walked around there a bit.  There was even a trail that we took.

While on the trail we found an exercise park.  We actually saw them all over Korea.  Just a few exercise equipment machines lined up outside.  I thought it was interesting.

At night we headed over to check out a street market.

I'm not sure what the name of this delicious treat is, but they were so good.  It was pretty much dough filled with brown sugar and some sort of sunflower seed mix.  Then fried right in front of your eyes.  We stopped and got these several times.
Right in the middle of the market were the stairs up to Yongousan park.

The top at a great view of the city.  It also had these love locks you could buy lock on to these bars.  We saw these exact things a few times in Korea.  It must be a popular tradition for them.
Someone there offered to take a picture for us so I gave them my phone.  It was funny because they kept taking picture after picture.  For what felt like five minutes.  I kept trying to stop smiling and tell him it was good, but he kept saying one more, one more.  The funny part was after getting the million pictures back most of them were blurry.
This pagoda reminded me of the temples we saw.  I don't think this actually was one, but it was interesting to me how much more colorful they were than the buddhist temples we see in Japan.
I think most of the restaurants we went to involved cooking the food on or table.  I first thought that would me we would cook it ourselves, but at manny of the places they come over and cook it.
And lastly some pictures of where we stayed.  It was so similar to the first place, except for the fact that it had two beds.
