There are so many things to do where we live our only hurtles are the cost of travel and time. For our day up in Tokyo last week it cost us about $75 to drive there park and get back. That is pretty normal, tolls here are expensive, the parking was only $15 of that. Trains would have been a similar price for our large family, but if you had less people, the trains would have been about $20 for one person to go to Tokyo and back. We aren't super far either, its about 50 miles to the middle of Tokyo. I'm not trying to complain I just want to share because that is one major difference from living Japan vs living in the states.
Bob has also been super busy at work lately and hasn't had a Saturday off since September, that I am complaining about...
Anyway, after the digital art museum we walked around Odiaba a little bit. The giant Gundam was a must see on our list of things to do.
We were up a flight of stairs for the picture, if you look closely you can see people standing by his legs. He was really really big.
Then we wanted to check out the Toyota museum. It was awesome.
They had a history area, with lots of old cars.
We even got to see race cars.
It is connected to a mall so we made a quick walk through just to check out the scenery. They sky changes from night to day and it was very similar to on in Vegas.
Back to the factory. They had racing games.
Tons of cars for everyone to get in and check out.
There was a virtual reality ride that Calista wasn't big enough to go on, so I had fun with her running around and trying out all the cars. She totally loved that.
We spent about five mintues for all the kids to try out the wheel chair accessible car.
One of the kids favorite things was the wheel chair basketball they got to play.
I even gave it a try, and as far as I can remember I think it was my first time on a wheel chair.
There was more to do, but we did have a fun and busy day so we headed home. Tucker especially wants to go back, so we told him maybe if we get some visitors we can take them there.
