Bob had a lesson with the kids a couple weeks ago about service and being nice to me in particular. It inspired some interesting results. Mainly lots of breakfast in bed for me.
Believe it or not but this strudel was one of the best breakfasts in beds they have made. They came up with the idea themselves so it is really sweet. But sometimes the meals were a little hard for me to eat first thing in the morning. I would get things like a regular piece of bread with like half inch thick spread of peanut butter over it and two pieces of Halloween candy. Without hurting anyone's feelings I limited breakfast in bed to one time a week at the most, and I also told them toast or a strudel would be a good idea. One of the kids took the next two pictures, from a park we went to. It is a bit colder now then when we went to the park but I will say that fall weather in Japan is amazing.
Calista and I were matching for church one day.
Calista put Bob's slippers on all by herself. I also like this picture because she is grabbing her belly button, which is her new thing.
I like to take the kids on a walk around our neighborhood after Calista gets up from her nap and before dinner and Bob gets home from work. We don't go every day but we usually go a couple times a week. Calista loves it, and sometimes I feel like I need to get out of the house.
One day we got together with some homeschool friends and put together bags for the homeless, then another day we passed them out. It was such a great experience we are already planning to do it again in December.
That is what we've been up to lately.
