2020 Pumpkin Run

Saturday was the annual pumpkin run.
I strongly encouraged everyone the morning of to find costumes to wear and this is what we came up with.  I convinced everyone except for Tucker.  He said he was taking this seriously and a costume would slow him down.  I thought that was strange because he never practices or goes running.  Penelope and Leon are the ones who have been running around the house with backpacks full of books getting ready.

We needed to wear masks before and after the race.
The race is set up so you run halfway, to the pumpkins, and then you have to carry them back.

Bob joked that he picked a nice small one because he knew he had to carry it and that I picked the biggest one because I knew he would carry it.  I did pick the biggest one, and Bob did carry it.  But I also pushed the stroller that held Calista, 90% of the time, Beatrix, and a pumpkin.
Tucker did end up taking the race seriously, he pretty much was the first one finished.  One guy did beat him by a little bit, but that guy skipped the pumpkin patch and didn't carry one back.  Penelope was also up in the front and she said she thinks she got 7th.  I'm not sure if anyone else there was thinking of this like a real race.
We all had fun.  While I miss having a pumpkin patch to go to this has been a great substitute tradition.
