Beatrix 2 Months

Two months!  Yay!
The last couple of weeks I've been able to notice a big change in Beatrix.  She really is starting to feel less like a newborn and more just like a baby.  One of the biggest changes is that we have been able to get her on a schedule of sorts.
She doesn't follow it exactly, but I've been trying to feed her at the same times every day and put her down for naps at consistent times.  She basically eats every three hours, is awake for an hour, then goes down for a nap.  Eat, play, sleep, eat, play, sleep...
It is much easier for me because I put her down to nap in her "bed" (pack and play in our closet and then I have a little bit of time to get things done before I need to feed her again.
The first week of trying to be more consistent went pretty poorly.  But the next two weeks it started to get better.  The hardest part was getting her to sleep during the sleep times, and she really started getting the hang of it.  I think consistency is key!  Always putting her down in the same place at the same times was most helpful in getting her to learn to sleep without being held.
We sure do love her.

Calista's 2 Months

Calista is now two months old!
She likes:
Smiling
Being held while bouncing and walking around
Her woombie (swaddler)
Milk of course
and when we carry her in any baby carrier

She doesn't like:
Pacifier
Sleeping through the night
and anytime we put her down
I'm kind of obsessed with this face.

Things are continuing to get easier.  I think we made it past the uncontrollable crying faze.  There were a couple weeks where every night for about an hour she would scream and it was super hard for us to calm her down and make her happy.  Now she seems to be ok if we stand up and walk around while holding her.  Bob and I take turns doing this every night while we watch something on Netflix together.
There were a couple nights where she slept for four hour stretches and once almost even five.  But after a couple times she went back to the three hour stretches.  I think she decided that she wants to eat all the time even throughout the night.  I think I'm going to have to let her cry a bit in the middle of the night to get her out of the habit of eating every couple hours.  I just know it won't be fun and so we are waiting until she is a bit older hoping she will start sleeping better without that.

She has started sucking on her hand and even her thumb more.  It is really cute, and not very quiet.  It usually happens in the car and we will all the sudden her a lot of slobbery sucking noises then we know she is eating her hand again.  A couple times I did get her to use a pacifier, but usually she won't take it.  I feel like I'm really forcing it in her mouth and she keeps turning her head away.  Maybe next month.

I love it when she smiles!  It is sooooo cute.  Right now she doesn't smile all the time but she will a couple times a day.  It is the best.

Leon's 2 Months Old

Leon is 2 months old now and he is doing great.  He usually goes to sleep around 9 and gets up around 4 to eat after which he goes back to sleep till about 7, then he eats and sleeps again sometimes until after 9.  During the day he likes to eat every 2 hours but I think he is old enough for me to start stretching that to 2 and a half hours.
Leon loves it when we talk to him.  He smiles and coos back at us.  One time he even laughed!  It was a one time thing, but I can't wait for more.  In general he is a pretty happy baby.
Leon is getting better at holding his head up, and I am going to start doing more tummy time with him.  We haven't really done any yet.

All the kids still want to hold him all the time.  They are also great helpers with him.  I am always asking someone to give him his pacifier or to run upstairs and grab a clean diaper.
As you can tell his hair is still growing and it is brown.  He hasn't really lost any or gotten a bald spot in the back yet.  Just lots of the softest brown hair you have ever felt.
The poor guy had to get 5 shots yesterday!  It was so sad.  But the nice part was that he slept most of the rest of the day afterward and today he is back to normal.

His stats:
Height: 24" (86%)
Weight: 12 lbs 4oz (65%)
Head: 15 3/4" (51%)
