2 hours and 7 minutes

We ran 259.25 miles and spent 53 hours and 37 minutes training for this day.  And somehow it seemed to quickly creep up on me.  Beginning at 7:30 this morning Bob and I ran 13.1 miles!  It took us 2 hours and 7 minutes.  If you look at our previous times (to the right) then you can see that we ran much faster than we've ran before.  It took us less time than our 12 and 11 mile runs and about the same time as our 10 mile run.  We stayed under a ten minute mile the entire time!
The conditions were perfect.  When we got to the start line at 6:45 in the morning I was pretty cold, but once we started running the weather felt great.  It was cloudy and sprinkling/misting almost the whole time.  It was more fun than I thought it would be.  There wasn't one time when I felt like I was going to die or like I couldn't keep running (that's right we ran the entire time).  It was neat to be around so many people (maybe 1000, not really sure) who were all doing the same thing.  And there were tons of people on the sidelines cheering us along the way.  Kari even showed up to take pictures of us (thanks Kari).  The water stations were especially fun.  The first couple of times I tired to cough down a drink while running.  One time though I just grabbed the cup, splashed it in my face, crumpled it in my hand, and threw it just like they do on tv.  That was probably one of my favorite times.  The best part was when I were running into the finish line as fast as I could with tons of people cheering on the sides.  I also liked the bridge, and running around Cheney stadium.
The course map.

You can see that we wore or vibram five fingers during the run.  They are so light and I really like them.  Now that I've been using them I couldn't imagine running in regular running shoes.
This is us by our car after we finished.  It was a really good experience and I do someday want to run a full marathon ... but not for a while.  I felt kinda sick afterwords.

You guys are awesome! Did the fact that you were child-free have anything to do with your speediness??
