I swear this is the last post relating to Penelope's birthday.
I love watching the video to see how much she has grown in the past year. She had her doctors appointment on Tuesday and she moved up to the 2% for weight she now weights 16lbs 14 oz. Although she is little nobody is worried about her weight the doctor just thinks that she is small and she is going to be a small girl. Her length is only 8% at 27 1/2 inches so she is pretty proportional. Her head is in the 15th %. She has gained from last time and that is what is important. The doctor did recommend that we take her to Holly Ridge which is a place that specializes in infant development. I did an over the phone evaluation with them and they said that it sounds like she is not behind in any way except for her gross motor skills. And since she is more than 25% behind they want to come and do an in home evaluation and then after that probably weekly physical therapy. It is different to have a one year old who is not very mobile but I am not to worried about it because everyone learns to walk right? The doctor even said that she can't see a problem with her muscle tone and she is just a little lazy. I think it is going to be hard to get the kids to a weekly appointment. Bob and I were joking around the other day and saying that Penelope knows that once she starts crawling she is going to need to get things for herself. She is really smart and just wants to stay a baby forever.
Penelope has been saying her first official word and it is 'hi' she has been saying it for about 2 weeks and she waves hi and bye also. She says a couple other words too, but that is the only one that i am sure she is saying on purpose and knows what it means.
