18 Months

Sunday was another big day for us because it was Penelope's first full day of nursery!  Bob dropped her off and I heard she was crying.  Every time I went to check on her she was sitting on the nursery leaders lap but not crying. They never brought her back to us so that is good.  I think she will do better next week and this transition will be easeir than I thought it was going to be.  I on the other hand went to sunday school and relief society.  It has been over 2 years since I have gone to class in our own ward.  It was much different than primary but I could get used to sitting next to Bob in class with no kids. At least for the next month and a half.

We went out on Saturday to take 18 month old pictures and the weather didn't really cooperate.  I think Penelope has really changed a lot over the past month.  She is now very active and likes to run around and get into everything.  It was hard for me to get her to stand still and look at the camera for one second.  I remember when I took her 1 year pictures I just set her down and she couldn't go anywhere.  Now she is into everything.  She is always shouting 'mom' or 'dad' to get attention and she hates when we pick her up and try to put her in the stroller.  She is still pretty weary of strangers but I don't think it is as bad as it used to be.  I can tell she is growing out of that.  She loves her baby doll and I think she is going to be very excited when i have the baby.  She points at my stomach and says 'baby' then she points at her own stomach and says 'baby.'  She doesn't get it, but it is pretty cute.
Penelope insisted on getting her nails painted on Sunday.  Luckily Bob was patient enough to hold her hands still and blow on her fingers for 10 minutes afterward.
