Squirrel what are you thinking?

What was this squirrel thinking letting me get so close to it?

Most wild animals, especially squirrels and birds, don't like to let people get very close to them.  I think he must have been really into eating his pine cone.  The kids and I were jumping on the trampoline when this little guy was eating on our fence post.  I have seen them there many times before.  We have what squirrels want, both an abundance of pine cones and no pets.  I decided to go get my camera and slowly walked closer as I took pictures.  I got about 5' away!  I don't think I have gotten that close to one before.  Definitely makes for a good picture.

Maybe we should give him a name.  How about beady.
