How to Make a Plastic Wrap Christmas Advent Calender

This tutorial was inspired by my sister Talitha who makes advent calenders with the kids every year after Thanksgiving.  She helped me make one when I was younger and now she makes them with my kids and their cousins.  It is a fun tradition and the kids love it.  It is also great for kids who have no concept of time or when things are coming.  Now I can tell Tucker that it will be Christmas when he runs out of candy and he gets to eat one new candy everyday.

Materials Needed:
Plastic Wrap
Candy
Ribbon

 1) Roll out a long piece of Plastic wrap.  Probably several feet long depending on how many days are left until Christmas.  I would suggest about 3-4" per day depending on how large your candy is.
 2) Place your candy at least an inch to two inches apart on the plastic wrap.  I used m&ms because that is what I had.  We usually do some sort of wrapped candy.  Put one piece of candy for each day left until Christmas.  If you make it today do 26 pieces.
 3) Fold the plastic wrap in making sure the candy can't fall out.
4) Tie knots with ribbon between the candy pieces.  Curl the ends if you want.  It looks good if you use red green and white colors for the ribbon.  I didn't have those colors.

5) Make a loop at the top with either ribbon or extra plastic wrap, hang it up and you are done!

Only 26 more days until Christmas!

This is a cute idea. I might steal it and add a scripture reference or something having to do with the true meaning of Christmas.
