Everyone was off for the holiday on Monday so we headed up to Fukuoka. Our first and main reason for going was to play at the micro pig cafe.
I wanted to go once in Tokyo but we didn't have reservations so this time I was sure to make some. Japan has all these animal cafe's where you can go and sit and play with their animals for about 30 minutes while you have some hot chocolate or coffee. The cat ones are the most popular, but we have done an owl cafe and a hedgehog cafe before. This pig one might have been my favorite though. The pigs were so cute and fun. We sat down and the pigs came to us and walked around doing whatever they wanted. A few of them just sat on us and took a nap.
It was impossible not to smile.
The pigs were even potty trained. We watched them going to their designated area to do their business.
Afterwards we walked around downtown in the Tenjin area and did some shopping.
We went to H&M and then an underground mall. The mall was pretty nice, but the kids were not interested in shopping, there wasn't much for them there. I snuck a picture inside one of the fancy bathrooms.
